UEFTC

Certifier line art graphicFairchild designed and built their Universal External Fuel Tank Certifier to be capable of verifying the functionality of External Fuel Tanks prior to installation on the wing or fuselage of a military aircraft.  The UEFTC has been utilized with the A-10, F-4, F-111, A-4, F-15, F-16, and will be used with the jointly designed FS-X in Japan.

  • The box to the upper right is the 28 VDC Batter Box and Panel Test Meter Assembly.

  • The framework in the front is the bulk of the plumbing which controls the flow of the jet fuel or substitute fluids.
  • The unit's accessories can be stored within the cart, and the whole thing can be driven away.
