I (Fred Robinson) work forFairchild Controls Corp.,as the Supervisor of the Test Engineering Group, in Frederick, MD(clickhere to see a map on how to get there). I was recently promoted from the position of Sr. Test Engineer, where I also served as a Field Service Engineer.  My employer is an aerospace manufacturer for a variety Defense and Commercial applications:  

• I work with an Air Turbine Drive that goes into the engine pylon on the Boeing 747 (2 or 4 per plane), driving an auxiliary hydraulic pump.
• I work with an Air Turbine Drive that drives an electrical generator on the C-130 Transport.
• I work with 54 mm & 30 mm Compressors that go in pods and most recently the Longbow Apache AH-64D Environmental Control System (Helicopter Air Conditioner!).  
• I also have worked on a line of Fuel Handling System hardware, most notably the Universal External Fuel Tank Certifier, which previously required my travel to Nagoya, Japan.
• I support the repair a variety of mechanical systems that are used in various aeronautical platforms, primarily the 747 turbine unit, in our FAA Certified Repair Station.
